Free Local Delivery and Free Removal of Your Old Furniture!
We offer a free local delivery and the removal of your old item of furniture replaced by us – there is no charge for this either. By local we mean within a 30 mile radius of Newton Abbot this includes Plymouth to the west, Exeter and Honiton to the east, Okehampton to the North and obviously all of Torbay to the South. However, even if you are a little further a field we usually can come up with an arrangement that is amicable to you and us.
Deliveries are offered during the morning or afternoon and often you can chose which day you would like delivery. Also you may require a specific time for your delivery and if we can we will do our best to meet your wishes.
All new furniture is not only placed in the intended room, it is unwrapped and set up ready for use. Casters and headboards are fixed on beds and electric chairs and beds are plugged in and the customer shown how to operate it.
If you would like your old item of furniture taken to a friend or relative who lives near to you we can usually organise this. We also can deliver your redundant furniture to a local auction room to sell on your behalf - we can advise you on this course of action at point of sale.
Extra help is often required by many of our customers especially when large items of furniture or carpets are to be replaced and this is not a problem to us.
For some customers the upheaval involved in replacing carpets is a worry but we regularly clear the room of furniture, uplift the old carpets and dispose of them. The room is ready for our carpet fitter to lay the new floor coverings – once done the furniture is replaced. If the customer has also ordered new furniture from us for that same room it is often organised such that this is delivered once the new carpet has been installed.
At Home Service
There are many customers who just cannot get in to town so we often go to them and take 'our shop' to them. Once we know what the customer is interested in we can take items of furniture or carpet samples to their house for them to try in the comfort of their own home. Electric chairs or electric beds are often delivered for the customer's approval and there is never any pressure to buy... that is a promise!
Recently during the delivery of a bed to an elderly customer it came to light that her home help would not be able to call later in the day, so our delivery men even made her bed for the customer ready to sleep in that night. That is the level of service that we try to uphold.
